The Toledo Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash involving a juvenile pedestrian. The crash occurred October 6, at 7:06 a.m. on McCord Road near Oakfield Drive in Springfield Township.
A pickup truck, operated by Dusty Bacon, 36, Toledo, was traveling southbound on McCord Road, when he struck Lorenzo Osley, 9, of Toledo, who was in the southbound lanes of the roadway near Oakfield. Lorenzo was transported to the Toledo Hospital by Lucas County EMS with life-threatening injuries. Mr. Bacon was not injured.
The patrol was assisted on scene by the Lucas County sheriff’s office, EMS and Springfield Township fire department.
The crash remains under investigation.
