November events at the 577 Foundation

The following are the 577 Foundation events for the month of November:

All classes will be held online via Zoom.

•Evening Yoga for your Health-Tuesday, November 16, 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.

Students will enjoy a relaxing evening of beginner’s yoga outdoors from the comfort of their own home. This class will focus on movement, the breath, peacefulness and mindfulness. The movements can be altered for all levels. Instructor is Angie Corogin. Fee: $32.

•Virtual Tai Chi-Wednesday, November 17, 3 to 4 p.m. Learn the benefits of Tai

Learn the benefits of Tai Chi from the comfort of home. This three-week class will focus on wide circle form-a peaceful meditational practice focused on strength and balance. For all ages. Instructor: Richard Messer. Fee: 3-week class-$30.

•Morning Yoga for your Health-Thursday, November 18, 10 to 11:15 a.m.

Students will practice a traditional, beginner’s yoga class connecting the mind and the body. Focus will be on movement, the breath, peacefulness and mindfulness. The movements can be altered for all levels. Instructor: Angie Corogin. Fee: 3-week class-$32.

•Holiday Pie-Sunday, November 21, 2 to 4 p.m.

Students in this class will learn to make an apple pie with a decorative and delicious crust. Instructor: Robert Vanitvelt. Fee: $15.

•Acrylic Painting: Old Autumn Barn and Fence-Mondays, November 15 and 22, 12:30 to 2 p.m.

During this class, students will learn to paint an old fence, with background of colorful golden trees, grasses and foliage. Instructor: Mary Claire Roe. Fee: 3-week class-$15.

•Acrylic Painting: Exploring and Abstraction-Mondays, November 15, 22 and 29, 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Students will come together from the comfort of home to explore a variety of mark-making tools and techniques. Each session will feature different references and approaches, encouraging students to combine techniques, experiment and play. Instructor: Jim Zalewski. Fee: 3-week class-$15.

•Drawing Pumpkins-Tuesday, November 16, 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Inspired by the beauty of the season, students will learn basic drawing skills of pumpkins. The class is for beginners or anyone looking to brush up their drawing skills. Instructor: Isabelle Tucker. Fee: $12.

•Give Thanks, Write Now-Tuesday, November 16, 3 to 4 p.m. November is often a time

November is often a time to come together and give thanks. For this class, students will read short passages about a man who wrote 365 thank you letters in a year and how it changed his life. Then, together the class will practice this idea in a fun, condensed version. This class is for anyone who wants to have fun with writing, no experience necessary. Instructor: Sarah Miller. Fee: $20.
