Holidays at the Manor House tours draw thousands to Wildwood Preserve

The 46th annual Holidays at the Manor House returned as an in-person event in early December at Wildwood Preserve, 5100 Central Avenue, Toledo. Volunteers transformed more than 30 areas of the 30,000-square-foot home into a holiday wonderland. The annual tour is a holiday tradition for thousands of northwest Ohioans who enjoy seeing the unique and occasionally whimsical decor. In addition to the home, Metroparks Hall was decorated for the season with a model train exhibit displayed by the Swanton Area Railroad and Model Club.

Top left, for anyone yearning for warmer climates the lower level grill room with its Hawaiian Mele Kalikimaka theme will take the chill out of even the coldest of days; above right, the second floor sitting room is a “Jolly Holiday” with its Mary Poppins decor; left, the theme for the upper level restroom is “We Witch You a Merry Christmas,” and below left, the library features all things Norman Rockwell, especially the Saturday Evening Post.
