Holland Elementary SCHOOL NEWS

From the Desk of Principal Andy Evans

Welcome Winter Season

Holland Elementary School staff hopes that as you are reading this, your family is remaining safe and healthy. COVID-19 has been a topic of our conversation for almost two years, but this latest surge has seemed to affect nearly every family in some way or another. Over the past week, we have had a significantly high number of students and staff unable to attend school because of illness. Superintendent Matt Geha continues to provide frequent messages reminding all to weigh on the side of caution if you/your child is experiencing any symptoms, so we can achieve our goal to stop the spread of COVID, flu and other airborne diseases.

Yearbook Orders

Flyers were sent home this week for yearbooks. The sale ends March 7. The link to order a yearbook is ybpay.lifetouch.com/Order/SelectJob?isAdvertisement Only=False&jobNumber=99 79822.

School-Provided Clothes Items

The Holland office has received clothing items to offer to students when they need a temporary change. These items are socks, pants, shirts, etc. Students often take these items home, but they don’t always get returned. If the items are no longer needed at home, please consider washing and returning them to the school. We are starting to run low on some items and welcome donations, too.

Students of the Week

Car Riders and Walkers

Please do not drop your child off in front of the school–it disrupts the traffic pattern. We begin letting students out of cars at 8:45, and the majority of the cars are through by 8:55 a.m. If you don’t wish to use the loop, then you can park behind the football field and walk your child over. Thank you for being considerate of every child’s safety.
