To familiarize students and their families with the reconfiguration of Springfield Local Schools’ elementary facilities, the district has scheduled several open house evenings.
Offered at the elementary buildings and middle schools, the open houses will provide families the opportunity to meet principals, tour buildings and learn details about what awaits students at the start of the 2022-23 school year.
The open house schedule is:
•Holland Elementary– April 26, 6 to 7 p.m. Beginning in August, this building will educate students in grades 4-5 only; Principal Andy Evans will gather families together for information at 6:15 p.m.
•Springfield Middle School–April 26, 6 to 7 p.m. Although the building will educate students in grades six through eight, this open house will focus on fifth grade students and their parents transitioning to the school in August.
•Crissey, Dorr and Holloway Elementary–May 4, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. These schools will educate students in pre-kindergarten through third grade. At each school, the evening will begin with visitors gathering together at 6:30 p.m. for an information session.
