Public meeting to discuss police levy set for Tuesday, April 26

The Apple Blossom Town Hall meeting will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, to discuss Springfield Township’s police levy. Open to the public, the meeting will take place at the township hall, 7617 Angola Road.

In January the trustees approved placement of a 4.2-mill, five-year levy on the May 3 ballot. If approved, it will generate $2.9 million per year for creation of a police force dedicated to meeting the needs of township residents, and will cost the owner of a $100,000 home $147 annually.
