This is the time of year when we reflect a lot on all the great accomplishments that have taken place at our school. Often, we present details on ways our students exhibited great character, made exceptional choices to support and care for others, and, of course, we honor the influence of our faculty and staff. This week, we’re going to deviate just a little, because it is deserved.
You see, Logan Rajner is a Holloway Elementary School student who participated in the Walleye Reading Program during the past winter months. Logan’s perseverance paid off. Students who met the reading criteria received free tickets to a Walleye game and had the opportunity to win $529 in college savings. Logan met the requirements, went to the game and won the college savings award.
Logan is in Mrs. Osgood’s fourth grade class. She was at the game when his name was announced and is thrilled he was chosen as a winner. As an entire school, we are very proud of Logan, and it is very clear that reading takes us on adventures out of this world.
