The Toledo Sewing Guild will present “The Making of the Pentagon Quilts” by professional quilter Irene Rose, on Saturday, September 10, at 10:30 a.m., at the Holland Branch Library. The program is free and open to the public. The Pentagon Quilts have photos and names of those who died in the attack on the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.
The project was one of five quilts coordinated by the America’s 9-11 Memorial Quilts Organization.
Ms. Rose was the team leader for the project.
She will discuss the planning, making, and interesting data about the quilts and the dedication at the Pentagon.
