Toledo Ballet will hold open auditions for its 82nd production of “The Nutcracker” that will take place on December 10 and 11, at the Stranahan Theater.
Auditions will be held through Monday, September 19, at the Toledo Ballet studio, 5327 Monroe Street.
Dancers currently enrolled at Toledo Ballet, as well as other community programs, are invited to audition.
“I was first drawn to Toledo when I learned Toledo Ballet performs its annual production of ‘The Nutcracker’ in collaboration with the Toledo Symphony,” said Eric Otto, newly-appointed artistic director and head of curriculum at Toledo Ballet. “I am eager to begin my inaugural season at Toledo Ballet this September and work with Guest Director and Choreographer Eris Nezha on the 82nd production. Together, we will continue to make Toledo Ballet’s ‘Nutcracker’ stand out as one of our community’s favorite holiday events.”
All dancers auditioning must be at least 7 years old by September 1, 2022, and pay a $25 audition fee.
Non-Toledo Ballet students must call the administrative office at 419-471-0049 to determine an appropriate audition level.
