Victory Center survivor art show to be held at Taylor Auto Oct. 27

In a first-of-its-kind art show, cancer survivors who receive services at the Victory Center will have a chance to sell their artwork to benefit the wellness center. In partnership with Taylor Automotive, St(ART) Your Engines is a unique art show that allows local survivors to display the work that helped them through a difficult time.

“Art Therapy is by far the most popular program we offer at the Victory Center,” said TVC Executive Director Dianne Bamdt. “Taylor Automotive has been fantastic to work with on this event, and we look forward to showing off our participants artwork to the public,” adds Ms. Bamdt. The art show is free to attend and open to the public from 6:30 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, October 27, at Taylor Hyundai of Perrysburg, 12681 Eckel Junction

Road. Dozens of pieces will be featured with a range of mediums on display. Pricing will range from S50 to S500. All work has been created by Victory Center participants or instructors. Paintings, drawings, woodworking, glass and jewelry will be available to purchase with all proceeds benefiting the center. There also will be live entertainment and refreshments.

The Victory Center was founded in 1996 to support and educate cancer patients and those closest to them by providing programs and services aimed at meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those touched by cancer. Services are provided at no cost to patients, and all donations are fully tax deductible.
