Wild Lights returns to W.W. Knight Preserve in 2023

The Wood County Park District will host Wild Lights, January 13 to 15 at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve, 29530 White Road, Perrysburg.

Groups, families or organizations are invited to decorate and light up one of 10 stations at the Wild-Lights workshop on January 11, weather date January 12.

The park district will provide life-sized 3D animal statues for participants to decorate, turning the woods into a magical twinkling forest for visitors to explore.

Prizes, courtesy of the Friends of the Wood County Park District, will be awarded for the “most inspired” stations.

There is no charge to enter, and participation in Wild Lights is an excellent opportunity for corporate and service group team-building, said Jamie Sands, volunteer services and communications specialist.

Participants provide their own lights and decorations, and will be notified with a picture of their issued “scene” with one or multiple animals by Wednesday, January 4.

The deadline to register is Tuesday, January 3.

Stations will be judged by a panel of park district staff and volunteer judges with a winner to be determined on Sunday, January 15.
