Ottawa Park holiday tree lighting, events
The City of Toledo’s annual holiday tree lighting and winter festival in Ottawa Park, 2015 Parkside Drive, is set for Sunday, December 11, from 3 to 7 p.m. Santa Claus will be joined by holiday favorites the Grinch, Cindy Lou Who and Princess Elsa for meet and greets and pictures. The skating rink will open for free ice skating if the weather permits. Other festivities include special musical performances by the Rogers High School Choir, Nate Hicks and family and the Mystery Music Drum-line. Indoor and outdoor activities include face painting, karaoke, games, a fire pit, s’mores and more. In the spirit of holiday giving, attendees are asked to bring canned or nonperishable food items to the event.
