The Springfield High School JROTC performed a drill routine at the Perrysburg Home for the Holidays parade, above, on December 4. The group also competed December 3 at the Kenton Drill meet, where they received several awards.
They took first place in inspection and earned second place in armed squad, armed platoon, unarmed platoon and overall.
In armed knockout competitions, JROTC cadets performed well. The results were Gavin Ruiz, second; Shelby Salatin, third; Haley Freshour, fifth; Caleb Bliss, seventh, and Cooper Jackson, ninth. Shelby also took third in unarmed knockout.
