The Gold Star family monument committee met recently to make plans to finish the Riverside Park monument in Perrysburg. The memorial paver stones of various sizes and smaller bricks are completed. They will be integrated into a walkway leading to and configured around the Gold Star family monument, already in place at Riverside Park.
Those visiting the memorial also will be met by a soon-to-be-installed granite podium bearing a plaque defining the monument’s reason and message.
The committee recognized John Guercio and family, owners of G-Force Property Maintenance and Installation of Holland, who have agreed to provide the labor for the final installation of the granite pavers, and El Carter of Carter Engraving for his engraving work on each of the sponsored pavers. The granite podium is provided by Perrysburg’s Artistic Memorials, LTD.
The final phase of the installation has an anticipated completion date of June 1, 2023.
