Anyone may recycle their Christmas trees for free after the holiday season by bringing them to one of four drop-off locations in Toledo through January 31.
The drop off sites are: Jermain Park, Upton Avenue and North Cove Boulevard; Ravine II Park, off Dearborn Avenue; Detwiler Park, Manhattan Boulevard and Summit Street, and Bowman Park, Jackman Road, south of Glanzman Road.
Due to ongoing construction, Schneider Park will not be open for Christmas tree recycling this year.
The drop-off locations will be clearly marked at each park.
Trees should be cleared of all decorations, lights, bags or other materials. Trees collected will be ground into mulch by forestry crews.
