SCHOOL NEWS

From the Desk of Principal Andy Evans Happy New Year! I always think of the lyrics, “and mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again.” Well, January 3 was our first day of 2023. I hope everyone was able to enjoy some time with friends and family.

Most of the items in this newsletter are old news, but it might be good to review it. Our gamers of the week will be nominated for demonstrating integrity. On Friday, January 6, students are encouraged to wear yellow to show their support. The next recognition breakfast will be Friday, January 27.

Have a great week.

A Message from Mr. G.

Happy New Year! Big shout out once again to Lucas County libraries for helping our office diversity library get stocked in recognition of disabilities awareness during the month of December. The month of January is a great time to focus on goal setting, both personally and academically. I will be using my class time to help with goal setting.

School counseling program includes the following: 1:1 short-term counseling, small group behavior support, behavior and personal development, and classroom based lessons (skill building, career exploration, character based lessons).

Little Devil of a Difference Beginning in September, I asked staff to nominate students that are making a “Little Devil of a Difference.” This has been the most rewarding task for me as a principal to read the teachers’ comments and present them with a certificate. We have had 38 students recognized since the beginning of the reward. Following are the November nominees: Aubri, Ava, Honnesty, Max, Gabby, Owen and Lillie.
