In honor of the big game in February, Beeker’s General Store, 226 East Front Street, Pemberville, is pulling together its best food vendors for a taste testing extravaganza on Saturday, January 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., for “Sampling Saturday.”
This event provides ample opportunity to try Amish edibles, local honey, homemade baked goods, Gianno’s chocolates, Sechler’s pickles, Faro coffee, Brownwood Farms and more.
Not only will guests have a chance to sample many of these items, but they also will have a chance to meet the maker and ask questions of the purveyor.
An additional highlight of this event includes the opportunity to vote for the people’s choice recipe. Local celebrities and residents are participating in a contest in which Beeker’s will provide a mystery brown bag containing a product that they feature. Each cook is being asked to create a delicious recipe with their mystery item and samples for taste testing.
