LCRTA March luncheon scheduled for the 16th

The Lucas County Retired Teachers Association will gather for a luncheon at noon on Thursday, March 16, at the Toledo Country Club, 3949 River Road, Toledo. The venue offers parking and the building is handicapped accessible.

The guest speaker will be Dr. Robin Rayfield, executive director of Ohio Retired Teachers Association. He will provide up-to-date information about pensions and discuss what is new and what the association hopes will change for teachers retirement.

The community partner for the March luncheon is the Bethany House. Items needed include: gas cards; gift cards from Walmart, Kroger and House of Meats; socks of all sizes; towels; laundry baskets; pillows; silverware; outdoor toys for summer programs, such as chalk, bubbles, hula hoops, balls and outdoor games; small paper cups; paper towels, tissues and wipes.

The luncheon entree choices are Tuscan stuffed chicken, scottish salmon and curried cauliflower steak. All entrees’ include orchard salad, dinner rolls, dessert, coffee and hot or iced tea. A cash bar is also available.
