On February 23, Khadijah Allen and Lakesha Jones completed their training and joined Team TARTA.
“We’re making an aggressive push to hire more drivers. Whether it’s two graduates or 20, we’re thrilled to celebrate these individuals who have chosen a career connecting riders to their community and helping customers reach essential destinations,” said Jim Fight, TARTA’s chief human resources officer. “The hiring of operators is a continual process for every transit agency, and with hiring incentives and paid training, we believe we have a lot to offer for people who want to make a positive difference for families in this great community.”
TARTA provides ride services in the Toledo area, connecting citizens to jobs, education, health care and other destinations. It connects community members to transportation regardless of their age, race, physical ability or economic background. The company is in the process of exploring and introducing new initiatives and service options that will enhance convenience and customer experience while moving the northwest Ohio region into the future of public transit.
