The YWCA of Northwest Ohio will hold its annual Milestones: A Tribute to Women Award luncheon on Thursday, March 30, at the Glass City Center. Networking will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the program starts at noon.
The event celebrates high achieving women in the community.
Established with the goal of increasing community awareness and appreciation for the diverse contributions of women leaders in northwest Ohio, this event has honored more than 150 women in the region.
YWCA northwest Ohio has commemorated Women’s History Month by recognizing leaders throughout various professional industries and areas of activism and advocacy who embody the YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.
This year’s Milestone Honorees are:
•Arts: Amy Chang, associate principal cello of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, adjunct professor at UT
•Business: Ambrea Mikolajczyk, owner ARK Restoration and Construction
•Education: Mary Sabin, vice president of Lourdes University
•Government: Dr. Cecelia Adams, retired Toledo Public Schools and Toledo City Council • Sciences: Lori Hauser, chief executive director of Imagination Station
•Social Services: Tina Butts, founder of The Movement •Volunteerism: Kristi Hoffman, television host and producer of Business Life 360 with Kristi The 2023 YWCA Women On the Rise are:
•YWCA Involvement: Lauren Scott, strategic marketing leader at Owens Corning •Community Involvement: Kendra Smith, vice president of Community Health Bon Secours Mercy Health
•Community Involvement: Erin Baker, director of EDI at the Toledo Lucas County Public Library Tickets cost $70 each or $650 for a table of 10.
