The Department of Public Services announces the 26 refuse and recycling drop-off events throughout the city this year.
Acceptable items include electronic waste, including TV’s and CRT TV’s and monitors; up to 10 tires, on or off the rim, but no commercial tires; document shredding and recycling; bulky items, cardboard, and refuse.
Styrofoam will be accepted at all events.
This year air conditioning units, refrigerators/freezers and large appliances will be accepted.
Latex paint, oil-based paint and stains are accepted free of charge.
Used medical equipment will be accepted through a partnership with the Ability Center at the Toledo Zoo, Frederick Douglas Center, Epworth United Methodist Church, Horizons Science Academy and Ottawa Park.
In partnership with Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful, boat shrink wrap will be collected at the Toledo Zoo, Detwiler Park and Point Place Plaza events.
Drop-off events will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at designated locations, unless otherwise specified.
Visibly marked lanes for traffic flow and identifiable volunteers who will direct participants will be present at recycling events.
