At 2 p.m., Thursday, April 13, the League of Women Voters of Toledo-Lucas County will host a Topical Thursday program in the auditorium at the Maumee Branch Toledo Lucas County Public Library, 501 North River Road, Maumee.
Sandy Bihn, executive director of Lake Erie Waterkeeper and president of Toledo Lighthouse Society, will be the guest speaker and her topic will be “Who is protecting Lake Erie? Part II A report from the advocates.” Ms. Bihn works closely with fishermen, boaters, waterfront property owners and businesses to advocate for improving Lake Erie’s water quality. She has been the designated waterkeeper since 2005, a licensed program of the International Waterkeeper Alliance.
