ProMedica to offer new adult chronic illness peer group

A new adult peer support group is being provided by ProMedica. Beginning Wednesday, September 20, the group will meet on the third Wednesday of each month, excluding July, August and December, at the Promedica Neuro-Science building, 2130 West Central Avenue, Toledo. Meetings will be held on the second floor from 6 to 7:15 p.m.

The purpose of the adult chronic illness peer support group is to provide a sense of community and support to those living with chronic illnesses through sharing skills, resources and personal experiences. Organizers also will invite educational speakers to provide information about chronic illness support topics—nutrition, exercise, local services, therapy animals, self-care measures and more.

The group is open to family members of adults living with chronic illnesses. No registration is neccessary for this free support group.
