On September 29, Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn and Eric Willman of Willman Technologies presented 26 refurbished radios to students in the firefighter and criminal justice programs at Penta Career Center.
The donation, initiated through the Wood County commissioners, will help the programs develop a dispatch training area. Willman Technologies also donated batteries and antennas for the units. Mr. Willman and Sheriff Wasylyshyn spoke to the students about the importance of radio communications in public safety careers.
