Grand Rapids arts council to hold Harvest Moon Gala

The Grand Rapids Arts Council will host a Harvest Moon Gala on Sunday, October 15, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Nazareth Hall, 21211 West River Road. The fund-raising event includes a sit-down dinner prepared by the Nazareth Hall chef, a silent auction, door prizes, 50/50 raffle and entertainment.

The silent auction will feature original art by local artists and items as well as donations from businesses and supporters of the arts. Baker O’Brien, a local, world-renowned glass artist, has donated a piece from her collection. There are also holiday decorations, books, clothing, original paintings and baskets with various themes available. Door prizes are gift certificates from local restaurants and businesses. Presentation of the Grand Rapids Volunteer of the Year will be a highlight of the evening.

Ventriloquist David Crone will provide entertainment, selecting from his cast of characters, blend in a touch of comedy magic and incorporate audience interaction.

Cost for the evening is $35 per person.
