The Lucas Soil and Water Conservation Districts (Lucas SWCD) 59th annual meeting and board of supervisors election is set for Wednesday, November 8, at Oak Shade Grove, 3624 Seaman Road, Oregon.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend this celebration of natural resource conservation efforts in Lucas County The deadline to purchase a ticket is November 1. The program and dinner begin at 5:30 p.m., with musical entertainment provided by the varsity voices ensemble from Clay High School followed by district highlights for 2023 and the conservation awards.
To conclude the program, there will be a raffle featuring gifts from local agencies and businesses.
To purchase a ticket, visit LucasSWCD.org/annualmeeting or stop by the office, 3350 Hill Avenue, Suite K, Toledo. Tickets are $25 and include dinner, entertainment and one entry to the door prize raffle. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase. There will be a cash bar.
The voting poll for the election of two board supervisors will open at 4:30 p.m. All eligible Lucas County residents and landowners are encouraged to cast a vote from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., even if they did not purchase a ticket for the meeting.
