Although the Springfield High School Homecoming game against Perrysburg’s Yellow Jackets did not go well, students did not let that dampen their enthusiasm. At halftime an a cool, breezy Friday evening, Springfield crowned the Homecoming king and queen–siblings William and Maira Scott, left.
Other members of this years court were for the girls freshman Mayce Grzymkowski; sophomore Myaat Woodley; junior Sianeh Jornyoun; Penta Career Center representative Erica Sniegowski, and seniors Faythe Hamilton, Kelsey Brooks and Mariam Smidi. In addition to William, the boys court featured freshman Jaid’n Johnson; sophomore Robert Harris; junior Kamren Tall; Penta representative James Brown III, and seniors Alec Butler, Rocco Borrillo and Joey Keller.
The traditional dance was held the following evening, October 14, and the theme was Candyland.
Spirit events were held throughout the week prior to the game and included a bonfire. Below is the court shortly after halftime activities.
Springfield High School’s faithful celebrated Homecoming 2023 with a number of activities.
