Registration is open for the first session of the 2024 Dr. Sharon Erel lecture series featuring Matt Bell, chief executive officer and founder of Team Recovery. The event is Thursday, February 8, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the McMaster Center, Toledo Lucas County Public Library, 325 Michigan Street, Toledo.
The presentation will explore current trends in substance abuse, signs that healthcare clinicians should be mindful of during visits, indications of medications being shared or abused by patients’ families or visitors and interventions and language that clinicians or caregivers can use to promote change.
The program is offered at no charge and includes continuing education credits for nurses and social workers/ counselors. Community members and those not seeking continuing education are also welcome to register.
To accommodate increasing work demands for attendees, the presentations will now be offered in shorter, quarterly lectures while providing free continuing education credits.
