The Lucas Soil and Water Conservation District (Lucas SWCD) annual tree, shrub and garden sale continues through Friday, March 29.
Place an order online, credit cards only, at Lswcdtree. square.site, or stop by the office, 3350 Hill Avenue, Suite K, Toledo, during business hours to complete an order form and pay via cash, check or credit card.
The sale offers several hardwood species in threegallon pots including American sycamore, serviceberry, bur oak and eastern redbud. Also offered are bare root seedling packs of flowering shrubs like sweet shrub and smooth rose and three varieties of conifers or evergreens. Those interested in getting more than one species in a pack, may order a variety habitat packet, fruit and berries packet, or the native prairie seed packets which contain seeds from flowers and grasses collected locally from the Oak Openings region.
These plants are offered at a low cost to encourage residents to help wildlife, provide soil and water benefits and improve their properties.
All orders must be picked up at the Lucas County Fairgrounds on Monday, April 22, 1 to 6 p.m., or Tuesday, April 23, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Delivery is not an option.
