On the March 19 primary, Holland/Springfield Township voters will decide several contested party races for national and local candidates and one issue.
Polls will be open in Lucas County from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday for Election Day.
Candidates
U.S. President–Democrat, Joseph Biden Jr. and Dean Phillips; Republican, Chris Christie, Ron DeSantis, Nikki R. Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy and Donald J. Trump.
U.S. Senate–Democrat Sherrod Brown; Republican, Matt Dolan, Frank LaRose and Bernie Moreno.
U.S. Congress 9th District– Democrat, Marcy Kaptur; Republican, Steve Lankenau, Craig S. Riedel, J.R. Majewski (withdrawn) and Derek Merrin.
Ohio Supreme Court Justice– Democrat, Lisa Forbes and Terri Jamison; Republican, Daniel R. Hawkins.
Lucas County Commissioner– Republican, Tom Waniewski and John W. Rozic; Democrat, Pete Gerken, Paula Hicks-Hudson and Anita Lopez.
Lucas County Common Pleas Court–Democrat, Stacy Cook, Joe McNamara, Ken Walz, Gary G. Cook; Republican, Eric Allen Marks and Jaime Agnew.
Common Pleas Court Juvenile– Democrat, Amy E. Stoner; Republican, Robert J. Jones Jr. and Linda Knepp.
A number of offices will be decided by voters in the November general election, but are uncontested in either party’s primary race.
Those include the following Lucas County seats: clerk of common pleas court, coroner, engineer, prosecuting attorney, sheriff, recorder and treasurer.
