A once-in-a-lifetime eclipse is about to plunge northwest Ohio into darkness at 3:11 p.m., Monday, April 8. To celebrate, Springfield Township has planned a number of events including a free concert and fireworks display at Community Homecoming Park, 7807 Angola Road, Holland.
The weekend’s festivities begin Saturday, April 6 and run through Monday, April 8, and are open to residents and visitors to northwest Ohio.
Gazing and Grazing takes place Saturday and Sunday. Participating restaurants include Cheers, Fire Pit Grille, Harvest, Loma Linda, Ralphie’s and Rosie’s.
The festivities will conclude with a fireworks show, courtesy of Miller Fireworks.
Food truck vendors will be on hand throughout the evening for hungry attendees.
Monday will begin with a nondenominational sunrise service. The weekend concludes Monday with the total eclipse at 3:11 p.m.
