Clean Toledo recycling events schedule

The City of Toledo shared the 2024 schedule of Clean Toledo recycling events, offering free refuse and recycling drop-off events for Toledo residents.

Acceptable items include electronic waste, including TVs and CRT TVs and monitors; up to 10 tires, on or off the rim, but no commercial tires; document shredding and recycling; bulky items; cardboard, refuse. This year the city will also accept styrofoam, air conditioning units, refrigerators/ freezers, large appliances, latex paint, oil-based paint and stains.

Used medical equipment will be accepted through a partnership with the Ability Center at the Toledo Zoo, Epworth United Methodist Church and Ottawa Park events.

All drop-off events will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at designated locations. The events will have marked lanes to help traffic flow, as well as volunteers to direct participants. More information can be found at toledo.oh.gov/cleantoledo.

•June 29, Start High School, 2010 Tremainsville Road

•July 13, Waite High School, 301 Morrison Drive

•July 27, Whitmer High School, 5601 Clegg Drive

•August 10, Manhattan Plaza, 553 East Manhattan Boulevard •August 24, Epworth United Methodist Church, 4855 West Central Avenue

•September 7, Oakdale Elementary, 1620 East Broadway Street

•September 21, Cedar Creek Church, 2150 South Byrne Road

•October 5, Ottawa Park, 2205 Kenwood Boulevard.

New this year, the city will introduce a block-byblock program to help combat blight. Crews from the division of urban beautification will canvass select neighborhoods to collect debris and recyclable materials from residents’ curbs for free. A map of the neighborhood boundaries can be found at toledo.oh.gov/block-byblock.
