On Sunday, May 19, join the American Heart Association at Promenade Park for the Toledo Heart Walk. The event will begin with a health expo and interactive warm-ups at 7:30 a.m. The walk kicks-off at 9 a.m. and will move through the Glass City Metropark. The path of the walk is pictured below.
Walkers along with heart disease and stroke survivors are invited to participate in the 1mile and/or 3-mile loop.
Every walker who joins and every dollar donated means more lives saved, more research, more people trained in CPR, more medical breakthroughs and lifesaving moments for hearts big and small.
Participants can register at Heart.org/ToledoWalk. Walkers can also create personal fundraising pages, download the Heart Walk mobile app. This year’s campaign is chaired by Rajendra Kattar, MD, cardiologist and president of the ProMedica Heart Institute.
