The Accelerator Grant program has returned to the Arts Commission for the eighth year. The competitive program offers financial support with a quick turnaround for local artists to elevate their creative projects and careers.
More than 20 artists were awarded grants in 2023.
Eligible categories of support include: equipment, supplies, professional development and project support. Grant amounts are not to exceed $1,500. Individual artists and artist collectives with a residence or a creative studio within 30 miles of downtown Toledo may be eligible.
The deadline for Cycle 1 is Monday, May 20. Cycle 2 opens May 21, with an application deadline of June 24. Cycle 3 opens June 25 with a deadline of July 22. Cycle 4 opens July 23 with a deadline of August 26, and Cycle 5 opens August 27 with a deadline of September 23.
Applicants can apply to all cycles until they receive an award.
