The skies and riverfront will light up like never before as Party in the Park presents a special hot air balloon glow event on Friday, June 13, in both Promenade Park and Glass City Metropark. With live music, family fun and a glow finale with nine hot air balloons, it’s a one-of-a-kind celebration designed to showcase the heart of downtown Toledo. This also is the first time in Toledo history that both sides of the river are planned and activated with the same event, marking another first for Party in the Park 2025.
This expanded edition will feature two stages of live local music:
•The Grape Smugglers (8 to 10 p.m.) will headline at Promenade Park, and
•Hollywood Connection Band (7 to 10 p.m.) will be at Glass City Metropark.
Both shows are free and open to the public, running from 6 to 10 p.m., with the balloon glow scheduled to begin at dusk.
Guests are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket, bring their camera and stay until the end for the magical moment when a fleet of tethered hot air balloons simultaneously light up the skyline—creating a glow across both parks that will be visible from either side of the river.
Before and after the show, concertgoers can enjoy drinks and dinner at Maumee Bay Brewing Company, the official pre- and post-party destination.
Party in the Park continues all summer long, but this is one night you’ll want to catch from start to finish.
Party in the Park is held every Friday, through August 29, starting at 6 p.m., in Promenade Park.
