The Ohio Highway Patrol announced the results of a sobriety checkpoint that was conducted on State Route 2, near Connecticut Boulevard, on Friday, June 27, in Springfield Township.
Between 8 and 11 p.m. on Friday, troopers checked 714 vehicles during the operation.
Of the vehicles checked, eight were diverted for further investigation with three of those drivers being arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI).
Troopers working nearby saturation patrols stopped an additional 14 vehicles resulting in two OVI arrests.
The patrol reminds motorists to drive sober and to utilize designated drivers.
