On July 23, the Springfield High School football team participated in an intense HERO workout led by Springfield’s first responders. The training included military RV pushes, tire flips, strength circuits and other physically demanding drills designed to build grit, endurance and teamwork.
Beyond the physical challenge, the workout fostered a strong sense of unity and support among the players as they encouraged one another through each obstacle.
A special thank you to Firefighter Ryan Goodrick for organizing the event, along with Fire Chief Jon Zeiher, Officer Jon, Coach A., SHS assistant coaches, and members of the fire department who all contributed to an inspiring day of leadership and growth.
We also extend our gratitude to Megan’s Meticulous Maids and Mancino’s Pizza for generously providing lunch for the team following their training.
Springfield football is training hard and building strong for the season ahead.
