Congratulations to the 2025 graduates of Springfield’s Safety Town School. This year’s program provided an engaging, hands-on introduction to important safety practices for children preparing to enter kindergarten.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the many individuals and agencies who helped make this program a success—from the volunteer speakers to the leadership of Lieutenant Smith and the administrative team at the Springfield Township Police Department, Holland Police and Lucas County Sheriff. Special thanks also to Chief Ziehr and the Springfield Township Fire Department for their continued partnership and commitment to educating young learners.
Throughout the week, students learned about fire safety, traffic and pedestrian rules, stranger awareness, emergency procedures and more—all in a fun, age-appropriate environment known as “The Safety Jungle.”
We are proud of these young students and grateful to the law enforcement officers, first responders and community members who make Safety Town possible year after year.
