Holloway Elementary School supply lists

Following is a list of school supplies to be purchased prior to the first day of school.

Please send these items with your child to JumpStart appointments.

Wheeled backpacks are not permitted. They do not fit in lockers.

*Please do not send in other supplies not listed above. Teachers will purchase other supplies for Kindergarten students with supply/activity fees.

Kindergarten

Student supply/activity fee of $85; backpack, no wheels; one extra set of clothes, labeled with name and in a bag; one pair of corded headphones in a bag labeled with name; one box of tissues; one box of baby wipes. Boys: pack of nine ounce cups (paper or plastic).

Girls: box of sandwich-size bags.

First Grade

Student activity fee of $70; one Paper Mate Pink Pearl eraser; three boxes of 24 Crayola crayons; one pack of eight classic Crayola markers; two yellow highlighters; 16 glue sticks; one pair of student headphones (no earbuds); one package of sharpened No. 2 yellow pencils; two Expo low odor dry erase skinny black markers; two boxes of tissues; one pair of blunt end scissors; one extra set of clothes, labeled with name in a bag. Last name A-L: one box of gallon- size Ziploc bags; one bag of individually wrapped hard candy. Last name M-Z: one box of sandwich-size Ziploc bags; one set of stickers.

Second Grade

Student activity fee of $70; one pair of blunt end scissors; two packs of sharpened No. 2 pencils (Ticonderoga preferred); three boxes of 24 regular crayons; two yellow highlighters; three boxes of broad line colored markers; two large boxes of tissues; one package of baby wipes; four thin black dry erase markers; eight large glue sticks or 16 small; one pair of student headphones (no earbuds); one bag of individually wrapped hard candy.

Boys: one box of gallon-size Ziploc bags. Girls: one box of sandwich-size Ziploc bags.

Third Grade

Student activity fee of $70. *Stay with requested amount and brand. One pair of corded headphones; one box of 12 *Crayola colored pencils (Ingham only); one 30-pack of sharpened No. 2 pencils (*Ticonderoga preferred); two boxes of 24 *Crayola crayons; one box of eight traditional *Crayola colored markers; four black thick *Expo low odor dry erase markers; one yellow highlighter; six-plus *Elmer’s glue sticks; two large erasers (resupply as needed); one clean old sock for dry erase board; three one-subject, wide-ruled spiral notebooks (one red, one blue, one yellow); three boxes of tissues; three plastic pocket folders (one red, one blue, one yellow); one pair of *Fiskars scissors (size appropriate for child). Boys: three *Sharpie fine point black markers; one box of quart-size *Ziploc bags. Girls: one container of baby wipes; one box of gallon size *Ziploc bags.

Note: no personal pencil sharpeners for third grade.

Mrs. Holquist, Mrs. Tabler and Mrs. M. Thomas Kindergarteners in these classrooms have an $85 activity fee (all other supplies will be provided).

First through third graders in these classrooms have $70 student activity fee plus the following supplies: six glue sticks; two boxes of tissues; two boxes of 24 crayons; six thin dry erase markers; two boxes of eight or 10 thick washable Crayola markers; one folder; one large supply box; one roll of paper towels; two containers of Clorox wipes; two one-inch threering binders; two Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. Boys: one box sandwich-size Ziploc bags; one package uncoated large paper plates. Girls: one box of gallon-size Ziploc bags; one package of uncoated small paper plates.

Physical Education Classes (Grades K-3) Students need to wear tennis, running or basketball style shoes for gym class. No sandals, slip-on tennis shoes, dress shoes, winter boots or hiking shoes are allowed for gym class.

Specials Classes (Grades K-3)

The Specials Area teachers request that families donate one of each item listed below per family. Please drop off items near the music room at JumpStart. One box of tissues, one box of markers, one box of Ziploc bags or one package of wipes (family choice). Any size, brand or quantity is appreciated.
