TARTA set to roll out Jeep Fest Express

Toledo Jeep Fest brings 80,000 people and a flurry of activity to downtown August 1 to 3, and the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) doesn’t want fighting for parking to be part of parade day for anyone wishing to enjoy it.

As the transportation partner for Toledo Jeep Fest, TARTA is once again offering the Jeep Fest Express from park-and-ride locations at Franklin Park Mall in Toledo and Starr Elementary School in Oregon to the All-Jeep Parade on Saturday, August 2.

Direct trips from both locations to the downtown drop-off point—near the corner of Jackson and Huron streets—are $3 round trip per passenger. The first shuttle will leave from each site at 8:30 a.m. and run every 30 to 60 minutes until 1 p.m. Trips back to the park-and-ride locations from downtown will depart every 30 to 60 minutes until 4 p.m.

Rides on the shuttle are free for Youth Summer Blast Pass holders. Find out more about how customers ages 619 can apply for a pass and ride free on all TARTA services through August 31.

Customers can pay with cash, with their TARTA Card or through the EZFare app. Those who are not regular fixed-route riders should be aware that change for cash purchases is not available on board.

Jeep Fest revelers also will be able to take TARTA’s fixed-route vehicles, which will be running on a Saturday schedule. Trips to Jeep Fest for TARTA Move paratransit customers can be scheduled by calling 419-382-9901.
