9 a.m. Metroparks Toledo seeks volunteers for Singletrack Bike Trail Days at Oak Openings Preserve Metropark. Offered every second and fourth Saturdays, until noon. Participants will assist with repairing the singletrack mountain bike trail. Meet at the Wheelhouse, 3520 Waterville-Swanton Road, Swanton. 4 p.m. Seventh annual car show at Providence Lutheran Church, 8131 Airport Highway, Holland, corner of Airport and Albon, until 7 p.m. This free community event supports the church food pantry which serves approximately 50 families each month and the Blessing Box that is available 24/7. The Providence Youth Group and Scout Venturing Crew #210 will benefit from cash donations for 50/50 and will be preparing and serving hot dogs and corn on the cob.

4 p.m. Friends of the Library (FOL) sale, August 14 -16, with more than 30,000 hard cover and paperback books, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks on CD and cassette, records, board games and more at the FOL Book Center, at 1301 North Reynolds Road, near the corner of Reynolds Road and Dorr Street.
