T-Mobile reports that Springfield High School has been selected as one of the first 450 schools nationwide to receive a $5,000 grant through the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights program— a major initiative investing in small-town high school football communities across America.
Last month, T-Mobile started year two of its commitment to small-town sports by announcing $4 million in total prizes—including a grand prize football field technology makeover—as part of this nationwide campaign. In total, TMobile will award:
•One $1 million grand prize for a complete field tech upgrade, a renovated weight room from Gronk Fitness, an all-expense- paid trip to the SEC Championship and more
•Twenty-five $25,000 finalist grants for football programs
•Four hundred and fifty $5,000 grants for schools like Springfield High School SHS is not only among the first to receive this support— they are now in the running for the $1 million grand prize, which would transform the school’s football experience and ultimately benefit the entire community.
