Red Bird Sylvania hosts the ninth annual Ridin’ Late in County 48

On Saturday, August 23, Red Bird Sylvania, Toledo Memorial Park and Yark Nissan will present Ridin’ Late in County 48, a nine-mile family- friendly slow bicycle ride under the stars of northwest Ohio’s beautiful night sky. This carefully planned route is designed to highlight parks, neighborhoods and their connections to each other. Starting at 6 p.m., Brightz-ltd will be providing their revolutionary new bike lights to all riders to create a colorful spectacle along the route. Be part of something bigger than yourself as hundreds of lighted bicycles circle Olander Lake. Feel the excitement in the community on the ride and then connect even further at the after party in the downtown Sylvania Sautter’s parking lot. This annual event will take place from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Riders will be provided with a fully supported ride route with police escort that passes through Toledo Memorial Park, scenic Sylvania neighborhoods and around Olander Lake.

The ride will begin at Spoke Life Cycles, 6363 Monroe Street. Parking will be available at Root Inc., 5470 Main Street, or St. Joe’s parking lot, 5373 Main Street. Join the after party in the Sautter’s parking lot at 5519 Main Street. Featured will be live music by local talent Dave Pfenning and Pfam Jam; along with food trucks, including Dewces Dawgs, Old Dad’s Tacos, Leanna’s Bananas and the Squeeze. Registration cost for each rider is $25, which includes an event T-shirt. Profits will benefit Red Bird Sylvania.
