Sylvania S enior Center programs, events for Aug. 18-22

The Sylvania Senior Center, 7140 West Sylvania Avenue, offers meals and a variety of programs and activities for area seniors.

Center hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Area Office on Aging of Northwestern Ohio, Inc., in conjunction with the TRIO Community Meals, offers dine-in meals Monday through Friday, 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call or visit the website to make reservations or reserve lunch while at the center.

A current menu is available in the lobby and on the website.

Reservations should be made by noon the day before.

Beginner Mahjong Class Joanne McElheney will teach a six-week beginner Mahjong class on Tuesdays, starting September 16.

Classes will be held from noon to 3 p.m. in the Hawthorne room.

Cost is $15 and includes your 2025 American Mahjong card. Register in person at the front office starting August 26.
