TMACOG seeking comments on changes to Transportation Improvement Program

TMACOG is accepting public comment on recommended changes to the Fiscal Year 2026-29 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).

The TIP is a list of specific projects that implement the policies laid out in the transportation plan. The projects are recommended by project sponsors from around the region, including cities, villages, county engineers, transit providers and the Ohio Department of Transportation over a four-year period. TMACOG’s Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Policy Board votes on the final approval of the TIP project list and is responsible for considering and approving changes brought forth in TIP amendments.

TMACOG’s Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) has recommended two amendments to the Fiscal Year 2026-29 TIP, which will be presented to the MPO Policy Board at its next meeting. The TAC recommended approvals of TIP Amendment 1 at its meeting on July 16 and of TIP Amendment 2 at its meeting on August 20.

Amendments 1 and 2 would adjust funding, modify and/or add five projects to the TIP. Go to tmacog.org/news/com ment-on-updates-to-the -2026-2029-transportationimprovement- program for full details and text of the proposed amendments.

The MPO Policy Board will meet to consider approval of these amendments on Wednesday, September 3.

Public comments on project modifications in the proposed amendments should be directed to Lisa Householder at householder@ tmacog.org or 419-820-4512.
