When it’s hot, it’s hot, and everyone can use a little relief from the heat. The Springfield Township Fire Department provided just that recently at the Oakwood Gardens apartment complex on Oakwood Drive.
Youngsters donned swimwear and ran outside to the parking lot where the fire department had its ladder truck showering children with a refreshing stream of cool water. When the children were finished cooling off, firefighters handed out popsicles.
