Toledo is well known for its deep roots in jazz and for producing and supporting great jazz. The City of Toledo, in partnership with the Great Lakes Jazz Society, Metroparks Toledo, Lucas County, TARTA, and a host of non-profits and private industry, have united to bring entertainment to music enthusiasts.
Beginning August 5, a week-long celebration of jazz will showcase local artists at venues throughout Toledo. Toledo Jazz Week will help build momentum and anticipation for the Glass City Jazz-Fest.
The third annual free festival will be held on Saturday, August 10, from 1 p.m. until sunset at the Glass City Metropark, 983 Front Street. Attendees of the familyfriendly, open-air festival will enjoy live acts that will explore various jazz genres, including Traditional, Latin, Fusion, Smooth Jazz and more.
The 2024 lineup will be: 1 p.m.—Andre Wright, featuring Perry Hughes, 2:30 p.m.—496 West 4 p.m.—Allen Dennard 5:30 p.m.—Ilya Serov 7 p.m.—Jeanette Harris with special guest Ragan Whiteside 8:30 p.m.—Bob James Residents throughout Toledo, northwestern Ohio, southeast Michigan and beyond are welcome to bring a lawn chair to the Metroparks Glass Pavilion for a day of food, local arts and crafts vendors and live jazz music.
