Welcome to October. We already had a lot going on in the building the first week. On Monday and Tuesday, the Toledo Zoo returned to do more exploration with our science classes in the prairie.

The club’s choice fundraiser ended on Monday. I’ve been told there have been some amazing sales taking place by our students. This is a wonderful way for students to learn and practice some interpersonal relationship skills.

Also on Monday, I anticipated the arrival of your student’s spirit wear. If they ordered shirts at the beginning of the year, then they should have come home with your child.

On Friday, we encouraged students to wear blue and white to represent our October character trait of self-control.

What better way to wear blue and white than by wearing your best Springfield spirit wear?

Finally, we continue to ask that you do not drop your student off in front of the school. This actually slows down the arrival process and it creates a major safety concern for students. Thank you for your support.
