Lucas SWCD to host H2Ohio informational meeting

A new iteration of Governor Mike DeWine’s H2Ohio phosphorus reduction program is now underway in the Maumee River Watershed. The Lucas Soil and Water Conservation District (Lucas SWCD) is hosting a free informational meeting on Tuesday, September 19, at 9 a.m., inside the Ward Pavilion at Wildwood Metropark for local farmers to learn about H2Ohio and other agricultural programs available to them.

History museum brings back gangster bus tour

The Toledo History Museum opens up the seamier side of Toledo’s past with a new bus tour of notorious locations called Glass City Garters, Gambling, Gangsters and Gin. The monthly bus tours begin and end downtown on October 7, November 4, and December 2.

Hospice of Northwest Ohio seeking volunteers

Hospice of Northwest Ohio has an immediate need for licensed hairdressers or those who can sew, and volunteer their skills to meet the needs of hospice patients and families. Hair care volunteers are needed for basic haircuts for patients throughout Wood, Lucas, Fulton, Henry, Ottawa and Monroe counties.
