Lourdes University basketball teams earn berths in postseason tournament

Lourdes University reports that both the men’s and women’s basketball teams have been selected to compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) postseason tournament. This marks a significant achievement for Lourdes athletics, showcasing the dedication, skill and perseverance of both programs.

“We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes and coaching staff for their hard work throughout the season,” said JoAnn Gordon, Lourdes University athletic director. “Earning a spot in the NAIA postseason tournament is a testament to their commitment, teamwork and relentless pursuit of excellence.”

Men’s Basketball Team Road to the Tournament The Gray Wolves secured their postseason berth following an impressive regular season, finishing with a 21-8 overall record and a strong performance in WHAC play. Led by first-year head coach Jake DuPree, the team demonstrated resilience and determination, securing key victories that solidified their place among the nation’s best.

Women’s Basketball Team A Historic Season The Gray Wolves made history this season with a standout 22-10 overall record earning their place in the NAIA tournament for the first time. Under the leadership of head coach Tandy Bradford, the team displayed exceptional teamwork and skill, making them a formidable contender on the national stage.

Tournament Details

The NAIA postseason tournament begins on Friday, March 14. The women are set to compete in Kentucky, while the men travel to Indiana. Both games take place on the 14th, with the women’s game at 5 p.m. EST, and the men’s game at 6 p.m., EST.
